Grading Policy |
| The used records (LPs and 45 rpm records) included in our catalog are graded conservatively, in accordance with the following standards: |

| SS (Still Sealed) | Vinyl records are still factory sealed. Assumed to be unplayed, but we are unable to verify this condition unless you grant us permission to open the shrinkwrap before shipping. |
| NM- (Near Mint Minus) | Vinyl records (LPs or 45 rpm records) with no visible surface wear that should play as new. |
| VG+ (Very Good Plus) | Vinyl records (LPs or 45 rpm records) that have some slight surface wear (likely the result of friction against the inner sleeve) that may result in minimal surface noise but should not adversely affect play. |
| VG (Very Good) | Vinyl records (LPs or 45 rpm records) that have a moderate amount of surface wear that can be expected to result in noticeable surface noise, pops and clicks. |
| VG- (Very Good Minus), F (Fair), P (Poor) and As-Is | Vinyl records (LPs or 45 rpm records) that have a considerable amount of surface wear/damage that may interfere with play. These used records (LPs or 45 rpm records) are not guaranteed and may simply serve to fill a hole in your collection until a better copy can be found. |
Shipping and Handling |

Most of the vinyl records (LPs and 45 rpm records), compact discs and reel-to-reel tapes included in this catalog are one-of-a-kind and all are on display at our Portland location. All orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. It may be true that a title you want has already been sold. If the titles you have ordered are in stock and you have indicated your preferred shipping method, your order will be processed on receipt and you will receive a confirming e-mail message. Payment may be by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, or U. S. Dollar money order. No checks, please. If payment is not received in the time allowed, titles will be returned to open stock. Orders shipped to destinations in the
United States may be shipped by USPS Priority Mail ("Priority") or USPS Media Mail ("Media").
The Sonic Recollections website is designed to compute shipping and handling charges for U.S.
destinations. As a rule of thumb, shipping and handling charges for domestic orders should be
in the following ranges: Orders shipped to destinations outside the United
States may be shipped by Priority Mail International ("PMI") or First-Class Mail International
("FCMI"). The Sonic Recollections website is designed to compute shipping and handling charges for
most international destinations. In all other cases, your order will be processed after we send you
notice of applicable shipping and handling charges, and you have confirmed that you want to complete
the order. As a rule of thumb, shipping and handling charges for international orders should be in
the following ranges: Because we cannot accept liability for loss or
damage after your parcel has been shipped, you may want to add insurance for your shipment,

Special Note to International Customers |

When you take delivery of your shipment, you may be held responsible for customs duties, value added taxes, and/or postal taxes imposed by your own government. These are impositions we cannot control. Please do not ask us to falsify customs declarations. Our standards are high. We believe we price our records fairly, grade our records conservatively, and offer prompt and courteous service. The feedback we have had from our many good customers seems to support that belief. We won't lie to you, and we won't lie to the customs officials. |
